A passionate jazz fan and a visionary, Claude Nobs created the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1967 when he was working for the tourist office. It has established itself as one of the biggest and best-loved music festivals in Europe, with a unique and eclectic musical reputation. Every year, up to 220,000 visitors come to the beautiful mountain town of Montreux in order to attend the Festival concerts. Some musical cruises and trains are also part of the program. And not to be forgotten the Montreux Jazz Under The Sky which spreads all over the town of Montreux.
